1982 – Sixth – NovemberFranklin and Amanda Daniels become the proud parents of a baby boy, who they named Wren Kaden Daniels. Franklin and Amanda met during the summer of 1979 at a small diner where Amanda worked. Franklin was the manager of a large bank, and he would make a point to have lunch at the diner every day, asking to be seated in her section. They were married in December of 1980, in a small church in Connecticut. Five years later, in October of 1985, Amanda gave birth to a baby girl. Wren was 6 when his father was transferred to a bigger bank in his original hometown of Miami, Florida so Wren had to give up all of his friends to move down there. He never really fit in, being the new kid. He tried as hard as he could to make friends, but everyone seemed to have their little cliques, even as young as they were. So he kept to himself most of the time. His parents signed him up for things like basketball for the winter season and baseball for the summer season, just so that Wren wouldn’t feel so alone.
1991 – Eighteenth – June – Age 8Wren Daniels meets his childhood best friend. During a baseball practice, a mother and son walk up to the field, the son content just to watch. When someone pointed him out to the coach, he walked over and found out that the child had been a late sign-up, and this was the only available team left. Wren knew what it was like to be the new kid, so he made a point of getting to know the kid. He didn’t like being alone, so he had the high suspicion that the other didn’t like it much either. From then on, the two were nearly inseparable. It turned out that starting that September, they were going to the same school. Junior High. A whole new way to look at things, and even though they didn’t have any classes together, they tried to spend as much time as they could together. They still signed up for sports, even though now they only had time for baseball.
1997 – Eleventh – March – Age 14Wren falls in love with tattooing. Out of curiosity, Wren started to hang out with his friend where his mother worked. She owned Emergence Tattoo Parlor in the center of Miami, and it was there that Wren discovered his fascination with the art of tattooing and being tattooed. He spent as much free time there as he could, and eventually asked if he could apprentice. He was there every day to begin with, and eventually he ended up as shop manager, but he wanted to take it a step further. He paid attention and did everything in his power to make his new dream a reality.
2000 – Fifth – July – Age 17Wren gets arrested for drag racing. It was the only night that he was truly scared for what it might mean for him. He had just won a race – his first race ever – and cops cut him off as he’s leaving. He sat in a cell all night, because his parents agreed that he needed to think about what he had done. Wren sat there shuffling his feet, eventually getting bailed out at 7 in the morning by his boss. He spent the night at her house, but it wasn’t easy. She made him work, cleaning the house until his hands, and knees, and feet felt like they were going to fall off. Little did he know that his parents and his boss had set it up to try and teach him a lesson. He tried to make up for his mistake, taking extra shifts at the shop, helping more than usual with family things, but it seemed like it just wasn’t enough. He had already decided that he wasn’t going to college, so his parents didn’t exactly approve of the lifestyle he was starting to lead.
2000 – Twenty-Ninth – December – Age 18Wren’s parents are killed in a car crash. This left him devastated. He was working when it happened, and his sister was at their grandparents’ house for a visit. They never did catch the people responsible for it, and shortly after the funeral, he and his sister packed everything up from the house, and she moved in with their grandparents while he quit the shop and went on a "soul searching road trip." He ended up in California; Los Angeles, to be exact. He rented a crappy apartment and got a job at another local tattoo shop, True Blue. He had to work from the bottom up, all over again. But he didn’t really care. He needed a new start, a fresh take on everything. He talked to his sister once a week, for a good few hours, so the two of them could catch up on how each other was. He missed her, but she was still underage so he couldn’t bring her out there to live with him. He was ashamed of where he lived, knowing he could do better. He had the money leftover from his parents’ deaths, but he didn’t want to use it. He was afraid their memory would be ruined if he did.
2002 – Thirteenth – February – Age 19Wren gets his tattooing license. He was one of the younger artists, but everyone knew he was good. He had a few tattoos already, but he wasn’t nearly done. He started to get into piercing, having his septum done, as well as snakebites. He was friendly with nearly everyone who asked for him, since he knew business would pick up just because of word of mouth. There was only one time where he felt the need to be an asshole to anyone, and that was when they disrespected the shop. He finished the tattoo, but he overcharged. He wasn’t someone to be messed with. He sticks up for what he believes in, and he knows he has the rest of the shop behind him. People mistake him for a snot-nosed punk, but he’s always able to back himself up. If there’s ever a problem with others, he does try to mediate, because he knows that if someone gets hurt the shop will suffer, and in turn the employees will suffer as well. A few months later, the shop earned a new owner. Someone who was a few months older than him. That made them the two youngest artists at True Blue Tattoos, and they became fast friends because of it. Once he learned that Brandon Doheny lived in San Diego, he said he could crash at his apartment if he wanted to, and it sort of turned into them living together.
2009 – PresentWren upgrades apartments. He purchased a small puppy whom he names Wink. He did it so he had someone to make him feel less alone, and Wink won't let him forget he's around. He wants to bring his little sister to LA. He knows she would enjoy it, and he’s saved up enough to cover rent until she gets settled. While it will be weird to have his sister around a lot, and living in the same apartment, he’s ok with it. He knows that she can move whenever she wants, that she can handle herself. The only problem he will ever have is if she brings home a guy he doesn’t exactly approve of. It’s just human nature. He has to protect her, since she’s all that he really has left. He makes friends easily enough so everyone who’s curious about him is more than welcome to stop by and say hello.
